Thailand Adventure

I recently did this illustration of a map of Thailand for Outpost Magazine. The map was printed as part of an insert, along with a guide to help you answer questions on an online version of the map to enter a contest to win a trip to Thailand. Optimus Tech Solutions

A while back I worked on rebranding for a company called Optimus Tech Solutions. We established the company's visual identity through logo, collateral and website design. Although we did not program the website, we created the design/elements, and I had the chance to animate a section of the homepage. Tequila Bajo 0º

Check out an interview I did with Tequila Bajo 0º, a blog that's made by women but not entirely for women. The topics on this blog are quite interesting, including features about art and artists. The blog is in spanish, but there are links in the grey box at the top with english titles.

Portugal 2009!!!!

For the first weekend that I was in Portugal I was mostly partying, and for the last weekend I was sick and didn't leave the flat. But for the few days in between, I tried to make the best of capturing the beautiful sceneries. Here are a few pieces (not scans, just photos so some of the colours are slightly off).

A while back, I posted a logo that I did for a B & B in Bali. The logo was for the website that we were designing, and it is finally live! The page layouts were done by my art director and I created the web pages from them.  Check it out here:  www.villawastrabedandbreakfast.com

A friend of mine started a blog which I think is a great idea, a place where you can share your experiences through drawings/stories/music/videos... Villa Wastra Logo

I recently did a logo design for a B&B in Bali, called Villa Wastra. We are currently designing their website, the logo was part of it. It was quite a journey to get the final logo, here are a few from the last batch of designs I sent, the one on top is the one that the client chose. The second is a card/welcome sign design. A client of ours had a baby, so I did a quick little card for her.. Thought I'd post it cause I think it's cute and something different to what I've been doing lately. The bottom pic shows how it opens up to show the message inside :)

Charity Auction Ball Poster

For the past few years, I've done posters for a Charity Auction Ball, hosted by the Kellogg School of Business. This year's theme is 'Black and White Gala' and the charities are Children's Oncology Services Inc., Minds Matter of Chicago and The Enterprising Kitchen.

Angels We Have Heard on High - The Full Video!

Last week Sixpence None the Richer released the first video off their new album, Dawn of Grace. This time around I didn't have the luxury of taking my time, in fact I conceived, carried and popped this baby out in 3 months!! I couldn't have done it without the assistance of an artist who I admire, Arzu Fallahi...who painted the backgrounds, GREAT JOB!!

Many thanks to the following for helping me out in any way, even if it was minimal, (every bit counts)...my mom, Kei Acedera, Jason Teeuwissen, Mario Positano and Aldines Zapparoli.

THE MATCHES

What a great day yesterday was...An acoustic set by the Matches at Criminal Records, where we got to meet the band. Then we were lucky enough to find tickets for the show just in time and although it was short, they played an amazing set. :)

Streets of Paris

Paris, Je T'aime!

Waiting in the train station for my friend, I could have sat there for all three weeks, it's amazing how many characters there are. For any subway sketchers out there, the Paris Metro is the place to do it!!

The one guy sat outside Hotel Hippodrome everyday (well I guess he lived there) and was quite entertaining while I had my breakfast and watched him outside the window.


I don't have too much to say about these paintings, other than they are watercolour sketches, each probably took no more than 10/15 minutes, and I wish that I had done more.

Amsterdam

Paris was getting boring, so we decided to go Amsterdam for the weekend..haha :D
I thought it was the most amazing looking city, and wish I had more time to draw and paint, but the time flew by too fast. At least I enjoyed the weekend, and here are a couple of watercolours that I did. Yes, they're a bit random, but then again so am I :)

Italy Trip

I went on an AMAZING 6 week trip to Italy. We toured around Rome, Florence, Venice, and Tuscany, and I couldn't have had a better vacation. The best part was that I could draw/paint whenever I wanted, and I did. Here are some sketches and watercolour paintings that I did.
